The dial is fixed to the case and a sighting device is attached to the case along the North-South axis of the dial. The East and West letters on the dial are reversed from their true position. When facing north, east is shown as being to the left of north. It is designed for surveying purposes. It is not suitable for navigational purposes. Excludes TRANSIT, POCKET.
